Cavaliero Finn is delighted to be exhibiting once again as part of the Crafting A Difference collaborative, for the group's forthcoming exhibition, Crafting a Difference at the Argentine Ambassador's Official Residence, curated for London Craft Week 2021.
This exhibition, presented by Crafting a Difference, will run for one week only from October 4th - 10th celebrating, outstanding international contemporary craft set within the magnificent architecture, décor and fabric of the 19th century official residence of the Argentine Ambassador in Belgrave Square. With support from the Crafts Council, QEST, Loewe Foundation, Michelangelo Foundation, Cockpit Arts, Design Centre Chelsea Harbour and Artegian Design, this exhibition will be one of the key landmarks of the London Craft Week programme.
Curated by Andrea Harari and Brian Kennedy, the latest Crafting a Difference exhibition will bring together over 200 works in ceramics, wood, glass, metal, textiles and paper by over 30 artists carefully selected from the five Crafting a Difference galleries, Cavaliero Finn, jaggedart, MADEINBRITALY, Ting Ying Gallery and Vessel Gallery. These artworks will populate the rooms offering an inspiring dialogue with the fabric of the building, as contemporary sits alongside the grand historical chandeliers, works of art, furniture, tapestries and mirrors within the building.
The galleries will also present curated site-specific installations within some of the rooms. Cavaliero Finn will be working in collaboration with Colour Squatters a new textiles company, from interior designer Jill Macnair and textiles designer Pablo Di Francesco, to present a large, monochromatic installation of new work by ceramicist Björk Haraldsdóttir.
Jaggedart will be presenting a ‘congregation’ by Denise de Cordova in the Grand Ballroom, MADEINBRITALY will present an installation by Andrea Salvatori and Vessel Gallery will present an installation by Chris Day.
As part of this collaborative exhibition, Cavaliero Finn will be presenting work by Hannah Tounsend, Ashraf Hanna, Matthew Chambers, Nicholas Lees, Ikuko Iwamoto, Annie Turner, Frances Priest, Mimi Joung, Daniel Reynolds, Pia Wustenberg for Utopia & Utility, Björk Haraldsdóttir, Simon Gaiger, Cecilia Moore and Leah Jensen.
The Crafting A Difference exhibition is listed as one of the highlights of this year's London Craft Week programme and is presented with support from the Crafts Council, the Queen Elizabeth Scholarship Trust (QEST), the Loewe Foundation, the Michelangelo Foundation, Cockpit Arts, Design Centre Chelsea Harbour and Artegian Design.
