Catering to the young homeowners’ love of contemporary art, Stéphanie Coutas recreated their London home as a living gallery with the elegant touch of a seasoned curator.
First musing off an extraordinary sculptural piece by famed American artist Wendell Castle, the central living area echo’s that of a museum, encouraging a living tribute to the artwork from all aspects of the space. Stéphanie’s bespoke floor rugs for J.D. Staron act as a uniquely graphic bass supporting the sculpture, and the ornate Cambium bronze table sits opposite, a signature piece of Stéphanie Coutas and her agency.
Further design of the home was positioned to celebrate its ample natural light as well as subsequent pieces from artists Daniel Burren and Thomas Houseago, and signature to her style, Stéphanie has utilised noble materials throughout – custom marble in the dining room and touches of polished brass that enliven the sleek space.
